Film: 21st Century Literacy is a three year project funded through a National Lottery grant and delivered by FILMCLUB, BFI, Skillset, Film Education and First Light.
Through the Strategy we have been strengthening film culture among young audiences across the UK, and training educators to develop a sustainable film education infrastructure.
The Film: 21st Century Literacy findings report will be available to download in PDF form on this website shortly. Please take a look at our teaser pages, containing ten key messages that promote film education; and the results of our UK-wide teacher and pupil opinion survey, by clicking the links below.
The full report will contain: an advocacy document that makes the case for film education with evidence supporting each of the ten key messages; blueprints for our pilot projects so that they can be emulated; a set of case studies giving detail of some great instances of film education in practice; as well as the survey results and key messages.
